Our Story

At Three Tarts Bakery + Boutique, we are obsessed with the art of giving. We bring together two sweet things — masterfully crafted desserts made from the finest ingredients and an eclectic, handpicked selection of giftware.

The Tarts, Marla, Sandra and Kiyomi, met in culinary school, where they were nicknamed "the Three Tarts" by a classmate. They went their separate ways, then reunited after gaining pastry chef experience at Cafe Boulud, Payard and Spice Market. They decided to realize their dream and open their own bakery and gift shop, dedicated to mixing creative, handcrafted desserts with fun, eclectic gifts.

Three Tarts’ delicately proportioned desserts are perfect for party pass-arounds, buffet tables, tea parties, or to complement your office meeting or catered affair. Our handcrafted desserts contain the best possible ingredients and are always made to order by our talented pastry chefs.

Owner Marla D’Urso spent ten years in interior design, decorating homes in New York City and Vail, Colorado. Her appreciation for design combined with a love of pastry and a degree from the Institute of Culinary education inspired her to bring these passions together into one business. Marla pretty much lives at Three Tarts. You'll find her helping customers, working at her desk, washing dishes, fixing displays and obsessively cleaning fingerprints from the pastry case.
